Botox Cosmetic

What are Botox Injections?

Botox™ Cosmetic, the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure in North America, is an injectable treatment derived from a purified protein that targets facial muscles, softening expression lines, and giving the face and skin a natural, refreshed appearance. The most common treatment areas include the frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines, and crow’s feet around the outer eyes. It can also be used to treat chronic migraines and an overactive bladder. Botox treatment has been licensed in Canada since 1990, and Health Canada-approved since 2001. This simple procedure, administered by a qualified healthcare professional, takes 10-15 minutes and lasts up to 4 months.

Xeomin™ Cosmetic is another botulinum toxin injection/botulinum toxin type A treatment. Xeomin has been approved for the treatment of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles. It can also be used to treat medical conditions like cervical dystonia. It’s similar to other drugs in this category, including Botox™ Cosmetic.

All of our botulinum toxin products, including Botox™ and Xeomin™, are administered by trained, certified, and registered medical professionals with years of experience in the medical aesthetics field.

Xeomin Injections

Xeomin is a highly purified botulinum toxin injectable designed to reduce the appearance of dynamic facial wrinkles. Whether you are concerned about frown lines between the eyebrows or want to maintain a smoother, more youthful appearance, Xeomin offers a solution with natural-looking results. Dr. Demianczuk uses his extensive knowledge of facial anatomy to deliver Xeomin with precision, ensuring each treatment aligns with your aesthetic goals.

What Is Xeomin?

Xeomin is a neuromodulator used to temporarily relax facial muscles that cause moderate to severe frown lines, also known as glabellar lines. Unlike some other wrinkle-relaxing treatments, Xeomin is free from unnecessary proteins. This purity helps reduce the risk of resistance and may provide more predictable results over time.

Who Is a Candidate for Xeomin Botulinum Toxin Treatment?

Ideal candidates for Xeomin are healthy adults seeking to minimize facial lines caused by repeated muscle movement, in the forehead and between the eyebrows. If you are looking for a non-surgical solution to improve the appearance of frown lines without altering your facial expressions, Xeomin may be an ideal choice for you. You should also not have any past allergic reactions to the ingredients of Xeomin.

During your consultation, Dr. Demianczuk will evaluate your skin, medical history, and goals to determine whether Xeomin is right for you.

What Areas Can Be Treated with Xeomin?

Xeomin is most commonly used to treat moderate to severe glabellar lines between the eyebrows. However, it can also be used to improve other areas, such as forehead creases and crow’s feet. Dr. Demianczuk customizes each treatment to ensure natural results.

What to Expect During Treatment and Recovery

Xeomin treatments are quick and involve minimal discomfort, often completed within 15 to 20 minutes in the office. A fine needle is used to inject the product into specific facial muscles. Most patients experience only mild redness or swelling at the injection site, which resolves quickly. There is no downtime required, and you can return to your regular activities immediately after your appointment.
