Over time, changes in skin elasticity, facial volume, and the natural effects of gravity can lead to visible signs of aging such as sagging, deep wrinkles, jowls, and excess skin. Dr. Arko Demianczuk brings more than two decades of experience in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, offering patients refined, natural-looking results.

Facelift

Dr. Demianczuk specializes in advanced facelift procedures designed to address facial sagging, deep creases, and loss of definition. Each facelift is customized to the patient’s unique anatomy and desired results, utilizing techniques such as the deep plane facelift or SMAS facelift. Facelift procedures are often paired with other hybrid technologies, such as Pro Fractional laser to reduce the appearance pf visible scars, Radio Frequency microneedling to address fine lines, and BBL/Halo to improve variations in skin color caused by sun exposure.

Facelift Frequently Asked Questions

What is best age for facelift?

The common age range for patients who undergo a facelift is 50-70, however younger patients aged 40-50 years can still benefit from mini facelift procedures. As the patient ages, volume loss can occur in the face, so additional fat grafting is frequently performed in addition to skin tightening to create a fuller, more youthful appearance. In patients under 40, non-surgical techniques are usually recommended.

Is there a non-surgical option?

BOTOX, injectable fillers, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels are examples of some non-surgical procedures that can assist in smoothing out wrinkles, improving fine lines and adding facial volume. These procedures also help to even out skin tone. However, these are treatments that will only affect the skin’s surface. Patients with loose skin, drooping jowls or a sagging neck will need to consider surgery if they want these features improved.

Will I look unnatural or fake?

No. Dr Demianczuk will make every effort to work within the confines of the patient’s bone, skin and muscle structures to achieve a younger, more natural look.

Can a facelift or neck lift be combined with other facial procedures?

Yes, a facelift or neck lift is often combined with other facial procedures to achieve more comprehensive and balanced rejuvenation. One common combination is a brow lift, which addresses sagging in the upper face and forehead. Patients may also choose to enhance their results by incorporating procedures that target a double chin or stubborn fat beneath the jawline. Additionally, patients with severely lax neck skin may benefit from incorporating advanced neck skin tightening techniques alongside their lift for a smoother, firmer neckline.

How long does a face lift procedure typically take?

A facelift surgery usually takes between 3 to 5 hours to complete, depending on the extent of the procedure and whether its combined with other treatments. In facelift/necklift procedures, fat can be added to the face through fat grafting or can be removed with liposuction. In some instances, an incision is made under the chin to remove fat, and tighten the neck muscles.

What is the average recovery time after a facelift?

Most patients can return to daily activities and work within 2 weeks after surgery. However, full recovery, including the subsiding of residual swelling, can take several months.

Will there be visible scars after a facelift?

Incisions are typically made in inconspicuous areas such as behind the hairline, around the ear, and sometimes under the chin. While there will be scars, they are usually well-concealed and fade over time. Dr. Demianczuk utilizes post-operative laser therapy to reduce the appearance of surgical scars. These laser treatments begin 6-12 weeks after surgery, and typically 3-4 treatments are required.

What type of anesthesia is used for a facelift?

Facelift surgeries are usually performed under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation with local anesthesia. The procedure is done in an accredited operating room under the care of a Board Certified Anesthesiologist.

When will I see the final results of my facelift?

While improvements are noticeable within weeks, the final results of a facelift may not be fully apparent for several months as swelling subsides and tissues settle

Neck Lift

Neck lift procedures are tailored to each individual. They can be performed alone or in combination with other facial surgeries, including facelifts, eyelid surgery, and brow lifts. Eyelid Lift

Eyelid rejuvenation, also known as blepharoplasty, is a procedure designed to restore the look of your eyes. This surgery removes excess skin and tissue from the upper eyelids to create a refreshed and more awakened appearance. When the lower eyelids are addressed, the procedure can help smooth out wrinkles and reduce puffiness or under-eye bags. In many clinical situations, lower lid blepharoplasty can be performed ‘scarless’ by placing the incision in the inner folds of the lower lid. When a scar less blepharoplasty is selcted, the lower eyelid lift procedure is paired with other hybrid technology, such as TRL laser and Radio Frequency microneedling to tighten the lower lid skin.

Eyelid Lift Frequently Asked Questions

Will my vision change after eyelid surgery?

Upper eyelid surgery can help improve the vision for patients where the upper lid skin droops over the eye. Temporary dryness of the eyes is managed with eye drops, and may last 1-2 weeks. We take great care during this surgery so that the eyes themselves are left untouched and unharmed.

Will my crows feet be improved?

Eyelid surgery corrects puffy bags and excess skin, but minimally affects crow’s feet. To truly treat crow’s feet, one will need a different approach. BOTOX® injections are better options to help eliminate crow’s feet.

Will there be visible scars?

After surgery, scarring will not be easily visible because of where the incisions are placed. In the upper eyelid, the incision follows the natural crease of the eye. The lower eyelid incision will run just under the eyelashes or inside the eyelid. Scarring will be inconspicuous.

How long does a typical blepharoplasty procedure take?

An upper blepharoplasty procedure typically takes about 1 hour to complete, while a lower blepharoplasty takes between 60-90 minutes.

What is the average recovery time after blepharoplasty?

Most patients can return to work and normal activities within 14 days after blepharoplasty. However, complete recovery and final results may take several months.

When will I see the final results of my blepharoplasty?

While improvements can be seen once initial swelling subsides, final results may take 3 to 6 months to become fully apparent.

What type of anesthesia is used for blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty can be performed under local anesthesia in the office, or with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the patients preference and the surgeons recommendation.

Are there any restrictions during the recovery period?

Yes, patients should avoid strenuous activities for at least 4 weeks, protect their eyes from sun exposure, and limit reading, TV watching, and computer use for the first few days after surgery

Brow Lift

A brow lift addresses drooping eyebrows, forehead creases, and frown lines that can create a tired or aged appearance. Dr. Demianczuk offers several brow lift approaches to elevate the brow position, smooth forehead lines, and open the eye area for a refreshed appearance.

Brow Lift Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a facelift or brow lift?

This will be discussed in detail during your initial consultation. If wrinkles, loose skin and sagging eyebrows exist on the forehead, then a brow lift or forehead lift may be sufficient. For drooping jowls and wrinkles along the lower area of the face, then another procedure such as a facelift may be a worthwhile consideration. Sometimes these procedures can be combined for maximum results.

Will I have an unnatural or shocked appearance?

While a brow lift produces results that allow patients to appear more awake and alert, the results are often subtle. As an experienced surgeon, Dr. Demainczuk will work within the confines of a patient’s facial structure and skin tone to create natural results that avoid a wide-eyed or hyper-alert appearance.

Can I just use Botox instead of a brow lift?

BOTOX is a great non-surgical option that can improve the wrinkles and fine lines of the forehead. However, it has limitations and will not lift the forehead and improve sagging and drooping features if they exist. Patients who are contemplating surgery may want to try BOTOX first and see if the results satisfy their aesthetic goals. If BOTOX proves ineffective, then a brow lift will probably help in this area.

How long does a brow lift procedure typically take?

A brow lift surgery usually takes between one to tw hours to complete, depending on the specific technique used and the individual case.

What are the different types of brow lift techniques?

There are several brow lift techniques, including endoscopic brow lift (using small incisions and a camera), coronal brow lift (incision from ear to ear across the top of the head), direct brow lift (incision at the eyebrow) and temporal brow lift (incisions near the temples). Dr. Demianczuk does not offer endoscopic or coronal brow lift, due to the excessive scarring caused by coronal lifts, and the minimal change offered by endoscopic lifts.

What is the typical recovery time after a brow lift?

Most patients can return to work and normal activities within 14 days after a brow lift. However, complete recovery and final results may take several months.

Will there be visible scarring after a brow lift?

Scarring is typically minimal and well-concealed. In temporal brow lifts the short incisions are hidden within the hairline.

What kind of anesthesia is used during a brow lift procedure?

Brow lifts can be performed under local anesthesia in the office in some cases, while sedation or general anesthesia is required for temporal lifts, depending on the patients preference and the surgeons recommendation
